It is charged with BC dry chemical powder (Sodium Bicarbonate based), which works by interrupting the chemical chain reaction of fire and forming a smothering layer over the burning surface. This makes it highly effective for fires involving petrol, diesel, oils, solvents, LPG, and electrical panels.
A key feature is the external CO₂ gas cartridge, which is activated at the time of operation. This cartridge pressurizes the extinguisher, enabling rapid and high-pressure discharge, which is critical in emergency fire situations.
The extinguisher is mounted on a robust trolley with wheels, allowing easy movement despite its weight. It typically includes a 2–3 meter discharge hose and nozzle, enabling operators to maintain a safe distance while fighting fires.
